Nicole Elkabbass is suspected of pretending to be cancer patient to raise money. She has benefited £ 45,000 from strangers, which she has subsequently spent on vacations, travel and football matches.
Elkabbass, 42, created a GoFundMe site posing as a victim of ovarian cancer. She also appeared with a photo from a hospital bed.

Prosecutor Ben Irwin described today how the site "Nicole needs our help" described her as a "beautiful daughter" and a "loving mother", "recently diagnosed".
The prosecution alleges that Elkabbass organized the photo and claimed that all 39 donations would go through the Ramsgate Jewish Synagogue, but Clifford Cohen, a member of the Synagogue who is expected to testify later in court, claims that there is no never heard of it.

Clifford Cohen is expected to argue, through his lawyer, that Nicole sincerely believed she was suffering from the disease.
The case is not over yet, but so far the 42-year-old has denied the allegations.
Currently, she is facing two charges related to the money she received during the period February-August 2018.
Elkabass denies allegations of fraud and possession of criminal assets, namely charitable donations.
The trial is still ongoing.
