Tomorrow, (November 2) the academic year starts, but unlike other years, students will not return to the auditorium. Due to the situation created by Covid-19, higher education will be conducted online, for at least 1 month.
Through a message on Facebook, the Minister of Education, Evis Kushi said that such a decision was not easy, but imposed by the situation. Among other things, she assured the students that the teaching will take place without interruption.
The Committee of Experts has recently proposed that, at least for the first month, the teaching be conducted at a distance, ie "online", in order to curb the further spread of the virus. This is not an easy decision, imposed by the progress and the dynamics of the pandemic, but which thankfully has found our universities prepared in advance so that teaching can start and develop without interruption.
From the meetings held recently with university leaders, I was informed that all necessary measures have been taken to have an optimal start to this early academic year. I am glad that each university already has its specific method of "combined teaching", both online and in the auditorium when possible, in full respect of the measures set by the Ministry of Health and Defense social. "
Meanwhile, on the other hand, the rector of the University of Tirana stated that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure online learning for both students and teaching staff.
According to him, the platform with which the teaching will take place is determined, it is enough for the students to register following the relevant instructions.
