Kim Kardashian West's family planned a deeply moving and well-thought-out surprise for her 40th birthday.
The sweet surprise was documented in Wednesday, Oct. 21, episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which focused entirely on Kim.
Due to the pandemic, Kim failed to realize her big birthday plans, which included a party with the theme: "Wild, Wild Mrs. West" and a robotic piece by designer Thierry Mugler.
Disappointed that she had to give up her plans, Kim again seemed pleased that she would simply review her most epic moments of all KUWTK episodes, with her family, commenting on them in a special episode.
What Kim did not know was that they were secretly planning a second party, in collaboration with their family friend and celebrity event planner, Mindy Weiss, who has known Kris Jenner since the birth of Kourtney Kardashian.
As a start, the special episode recreated all of Kim's iconic birthdays, which were documented in video by her late father, Robert Kardashian.
Kim’s sisters decided to recreate the dance on her 10th birthday and everything spicy from each birthday.
Kylie and Kendall said they had some "difficulties" during the surprise:
"I have no idea how Kylie and I will do the dance, since we were not even alive when it happened," says Kendall Jenner.

The sisters brought Kim to the party, telling her to dress well, as she was about to do a photo shoot, but when she arrived, she found ponies and balloons recreating her first birthday.
The event first featured friends and family, with Kourtney explaining:
"Because of COVID, everyone has to be tested before they can come to the party."
When she entered Brenda, Kim found herself next to various stations from each of her birthdays, including a Halloween-themed birthday party, a dinner party, and even the same car that Chris bought her for her 16th birthday.

The evening ended with a nightclub recreated by TAO, where Kim has celebrated more than a decade of festivities in her twenties and thirties.
Episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians are usually recorded in advance, months in advance, but this episode was clearly new.

Birthday celebrations are not over yet! A source for ET, says that Kim has brought her family and friends to an island, with private planes, to celebrate "her historic moment".
