Pope Francis, who from the beginning has shown tolerant tones towards homosexuality, recently seems to have gone beyond the framework of his position in the Roman Catholic Church, publicly supporting same-sex marriage. This is stated in the new documentary dedicated to the Pope, which premiered today in Rome.
While talking about the care that should be shown to people of the LGBT community, Pope Francis addressed the major human rights problem encountered in this documentary.
"What we need to create is a law of civil union. Only in this way are they legally inside. I will raise my voice about it," he said, affirming maximum support for the gay community, considering them to be God's people. .
It is not known exactly when the pope made such statements, but the director of the documentary, Evgeny Afineevsky, says that he personally confessed in front of him about the film.
Meanwhile the Catholic Church itself is against gay marriage.
