Starting today, the decision to put the mask on the outside entered into force. As announced, those who do not comply will be punished with a fine that will come along with the lights bill. As the government decided to pardon fines imposed during quarantine violations, people raised the same question.
Will the fines be forgiven this time as well?
"It is a war that we must all face together. The behavior of Albanians today has been impressive. I have seen from the movements that wearing masks today is 99%. While the fines that have been imposed have been amnestied at some point to give another message, here it is not a matter of fear or of any desire for us to put our hands in the coffers of families and get through the fines money. On the other hand for the sake of truth in the pardon we made we have appreciated another fact, those who had not yet paid and who still had the cars blocked at that time deserved an understanding as it nevertheless passed. In terms of fines now it is not our intention to impose fines.
They never understand those who say the fines are high. To me they are low, they must be much higher. But in the case of fines for breaking the rules in this situation we have to look at it in a more complex way. I believe that what is happening today is a result of the effect that the fines have had. "I am convinced that those who have been forgiven the fine will not repeat it again," said Prime Minister Rama.
Among other things, he added that this time the masks will have to be kept a little longer in time due to the winter and the viruses that accompany it. In the last 24 hours alone, 257 people have tested positive in the country, while 5 others have died as a result of Covid-19.
