The Tirana Book Fair for this year will not be held due to the pandemic.
The news was announced by the Albanian Publishers Association, who through a post on Facebook, announced:
Dear publishing colleagues, librarians, exhibitors, participants in the Tirana Book Fair,
We inform you that, despite all our interest and preparations to make possible the organization of the 23rd Book Fair, according to the planning, on 12-15 November 2020, the answer that came today, dated 14.10.2020, from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, is negative, due to "high risk of spreading Covid-19 during this activity, in the situation we are in".
