President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for Covid-19. The news was confirmed by the US leader himself this morning through a status on Twitter.
"Tonight my wife and I tested positive with Covid. We will quarantine until the condition improves and we will go through this together."
Although so far his and Melania's condition has stabilized, the 74-year-old president is part of the age group most at risk from the complications that this virus brings.
Trump was last seen in public Thursday afternoon as he returned to the White House after a business trip to New Jersey.
Shortly before the confirmation of this news, his advisor Hope Hicks had tested positive and the presidential couple planned to be quarantined even without undergoing testing.
