As the number of people infected with the coronavirus has written to nearly 30 million people, a senior health official in China said she expects a vaccine to be available to the public by November this year.

Wu Guizhen, head of biosafety at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said he expects Chinese vaccines for Covid-19 to be available to the public as soon as possible, in November or December.

China is the world's largest producer of vaccines and is currently analyzing 9 of the 30 vaccines that are being tested in humans.
