Tomorrow (September 14) the new school season starts. About 480 thousand students and 30 thousand teachers return to the school benches, but this year under the rules of the new normalcy.
Most schools, in order to make it possible to maintain the distance, will conduct teaching in 2 shifts, while another part with 4 shifts. Such decisions, of course, are accompanied by difficulties and sometimes dissatisfaction from all parties.
About 1 thousand teachers are available to make substitutions in case of need, while parents have to declare about the health condition of the child by filling out a form.
"There is also information coming from the family that this child is healthy. "Each school has already appointed a coordinator who will be in the role of informant." - say specialists of the Institute of Public Health.
If the child develops a fever or signs similar to those of Covid-19, the parent should notify the family doctor immediately and not send him or her to school. It is the doctor who will assess whether it is seasonal virus or coronavirus.
Masks, distance and hygiene are an added challenge for students and educational staff, so it remains to be seen how teaching will be managed in such conditions.
According to the epidemiologist, Pëllumb Piperos, the identification of a case with Covid-19 in the school premises, does not necessarily mean that extreme measures should be taken until its closure.
