The view of the Earth after 2 decades is scary

One of the main laws of nature - which humanity realized too late - is what you will give, you will receive. That said, within two decades, exactly in 2040, the Earth will have 710 million tons of plastic pollution, despite efforts that can be made to reduce the amount of waste.

According to a study by a group of international researchers published in the journal Science (via CNN), even in the case of a good scenario, where the amount of plastic pollution is reduced by 80% by 2040, there will still be a massive pollution from use of plastic.

"If we do nothing, the problem of plastic pollution will become uncontrollable. "Doing nothing is something we do not see as an opportunity at all," said Dr. Winnie Lau, study co-author and campaign manager at the Pew Research Center for Plastic Prevention in the Ocean.

Lau considered the study "both good and bad" news, because although plastic pollution has deteriorated significantly, humanity has all the knowledge and technology to make a big difference.
