A little while ago, through a live communication on Facebook, Minister Ogerta Manastirliu informed the citizens about the official decision of the government about the mandatory placement of masks.
According to this announcement, textile masks and protective barriers will be used by all citizens without exception indoors. Those who violate such a law will be fined.
"The government has decided to take another step to prevent the spread of COVID, the imposition of a mandatory mask in all enclosed spaces. The obligation will be for every citizen in all closed premises, administration, public transport, shopping center, building stairs, elevator, etc. If not enforced the state police, municipal, and inspectorates will penalize violators with fines. For this act we ask for the understanding of each of you.
In case of non-compliance with this obligation, the state police, municipal police, state inspectorate structures, will fine the violators. The amount of the fine is set at 2 thousand new lek for each violation of the rule. "- she said.
Manastirliu added that the use of the mask is highly effective in limiting the spread of the virus, which has been proven by the experience of many other countries in the world.
