The use of the mask indoors or outdoors where it is difficult to maintain social distance will become mandatory, that is, there will be penalties. In an interview on the Repolitix show on Report Tv, Prof. Dr. Georgia Kuli, a member of the Technical Committee of Experts, said the decision had been made and would take effect soon.
In her speech, Kuli stressed that masks are mandatory indoors and outdoors where it is not possible to maintain social distance, but this time fines will be applied.
"Let's not say they are mandatory and then ... The counseling phase has passed [...] There will be a penalty, certainly not [big]. We as the Committee have decided to make it mandatory. With the figures I see, which are stable but at a high level of the curve, I think it should be implemented as soon as possible [...] Just a penalty to raise awareness, not a penalty to hurt people. ” she said.
