A woman was simply enjoying a pleasant visit with her husband to Disney World, until she encountered a situation that no one expected in the "happiest place in the world."
Nicole Arena shared her not-so-magical Disney experience in a TikTok video. She showed off her outfit of a pair of leggings and a sports bra — a combination that most of us have worn to the gym, a walk in the park, or a coffee date. But at Disney? Apparently not.
In her video, Nicole posted a selfie with her partner at Epcot park, writing:
"I was so happy I didn't realize I was 'inappropriately dressed' and they forced me to buy a $45 t-shirt or I wouldn't be able to ride a ride-on I'd been waiting for an hour for."
In another video, she showed exactly what she was wearing, adding:
"Honestly, I didn't even think there could be a problem."
Nicole pointed out that the only thing she had on was her stomach and arms. "They were reacting as if I was completely naked!" she said.
But in the comments on social media, opinions were divided. Some sided with Disney and considered her outfit inappropriate for a family environment. Commentators wrote:
"It's a bra, not a blouse. It's normal that it's not for the family park. Come to your senses a little."
"Disney and the gym are two completely different things. A bra is for underneath, not in front of the kids."
"Don't you check the dress code before you go somewhere? I know it's hot, but you're not at the beach."
While some others proved to be more understandable:
"I'm one of those people who loves Disney. You didn't know the rules and that's OK. It's different from other parks."
"It's actually normal gym attire, but Disney has its own rules. However, I hope you enjoyed it anyway."
What do you think? Did Disney employees overdo it or should we be more careful about where we go and what we wear?
