In just 40 seconds of the second episode of "She's On Top", the newest column in "The Sun", so many things happen that it's hard to believe that such a debate is really happening in 2020, in the media, during LGBTQ + Pride Month.
Between a cacophony of sounds, the girls in the column discuss in harsh tones, and it's a little hard to understand what they're arguing about concretely, but at some point the debate stops at aesthetic interventions. One of the girls addresses another - who has admitted to aesthetic interventions - and tells her that "only she is not a woman". He goes on to say that he is "a bisexual person" who has "lost his originality" due to operations. After that, another girl says that "you can't tell someone in a trans way that she wanted to have surgery."
Rather than the fact that we are talking about aesthetic interventions and trying to promote "natural beauty" (which heyyy, it's just lucky people), it impresses that in all cases terms like "dygjini" and "trans" are used with a negative connotation. In other words, insofar as we can deconstruct the not at all constructive debate, a bisexual person (who is not transgender, but we will explain this later) resembles "both as a man and as a woman."
The first problem with this quarrel, because it is difficult to call it a debate - no matter how it is about aesthetic interventions and treated as if they are not personal decisions - is that neither party understands the difference between "sex" and "gender".
We are generally told that people are divided into two sexes: male and female, and what makes the difference between them is the genitals - penis and vagina - and all the main and secondary characteristics of this division, although there is a need to increase the existence of intersex individuals. that have specific characteristics of sexual development that make them not be categorized as "male" or "female".
So, the phrase "only you are not a woman" may be a fact and not a camouflaged insult with insulting notes, as long as no one knows what someone has under their pants. Here we come to the concept of gender.
Traditionally, we have been told that there are two genders: man and woman. Both sexes are supposed to be determined at birth. Some people are born female and are girls / women and others are born male and are boys / men. In fact, no.
Some people identify themselves as husband and wife. Others say that they feel both a man and a woman, while there are also those who do not identify with any gender. A transgender person may be male, but that doesn't make him a "man" as long as he doesn't define himself as such. The difference between sex and gender has been made by people who are smarter than us by saying that "gender is in the brain" and "sex in pants". Gender and sex do not always match.
So, a man is bisexual because he feels like a man and a woman at the same time and not because - as it was said in "She's On Top" - "he looks like a man and a woman".
As mentioned above, what makes this clash even more tragic is the fact that the terms are used in a negative connotation, treated as an insult and "flawed" by someone. The title of the video of the show itself is set ?You are trans! The blood and debates between the girls in She's On Top are heated.
