The high number of positive cases this week in our country has raised questions such as "Will the opening stop?", "Is there a risk of a second quarantine?"
The Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu, invited to Opinion, gave an answer to these dilemmas. The scenario that would lead to a second closure of the country is if there are 80 hospitalized patients in the hospital, but fortunately so far the situation continues to be stable.
"The curve continues to be flat. It is the accumulation of cases that determines performance. What determines the return after. These are positive daily cases, are cases of hospitalized, cases in intensive care and of course fatality. Positive cases of recent days are contacts of infected people. We currently in Shqëipëri have over 20 mainly family centers. 60% of those affected are in Tirana. We have 21 hospitalized patients. It is a stable number and has not changed, in intensive therapy we do not have any intubated ".
The country is expected to open in early June, with the exception of the first weekend of next month. Manastirliu added that the next steps will be taken in case we have a doubling or tripled of new cases, a high number of patients in the hospital or 15-20 intubated cases.
"If we had doubled or tripled the new rates compared to 2 weeks ago. If we had an increase in inpatients going to 80 inpatients and if we had intubated 15-20 cases, then we would stop. No. we are taking other steps. If this increases we will take steps back. "
