Denmark has opened the borders for couples that the quarantine separated from each other for months! From Monday, couples living in Nordic countries or Germany can return to Denmark and join their partner.
One of the rules that must be followed to benefit from this decision is the proof of love! People need to prove their connection by showing, couple photos, messages, emails.
So suffice it to say that "I am a loved one living away from my partner", the chances of returning to Denmark are high.
What are the rules?
Currently, Danish authorities say that applicants must provide the name, address and contacts of the partner living in Denmark as well as proof of type: old messages, phone calls, photos and other details proving that the relationship is genuine. They also add that this decision will benefit couples who have a serious relationship (at least 6 months).
How will this affect couples?
Undoubtedly, this decision is good news for long-distance couples who could not meet each other due to coronavirus.
Germany has also proposed allowing free travel to 26 European countries, the United Kingdom as well as Iceland and Norway. Despite the discussions, austerity measures continue to be in place and the greatest weight of the consequences has been expressed by couples living separately in different countries.
