The Feast of Eid al-Fitr - which marks the end of fasting in the month of Ramadan - was celebrated by Muslim believers differently from tradition. Believers prayed the Eid prayer today not in the squares, but in the country's mosques.

The main ceremony, which was also attended by the President of the Muslim Community of Albania, H. Bujar Spahiu, took place in the mosque of "Kokonoz", at the New Bazaar in Tirana. Unlike other years, the Eid al-Fitr prayer this year took place across the country respecting a certain protocol in the context of preventing the further spread of COVID-19.
During his speech during the sermon, the chairman of the Muslim Community said:
?The prayers, worship, sacrifices and spiritual renewal we experienced during Ramadan strengthen and motivate us to see the feast of Eid al-Fitr as the day of new hopes, as the day of remembrance and solidarity with each other, as the day of brotherhood renewal. , friendship and love for man. The days of Eid are days of peace, they are days of shared joy with family, relatives, neighbors, friends and all people around the world. When the believer is at peace with God, he is at peace with himself and consequently with all those around him. ?
The same security ritual continued in other mosques in the country.
