A pair of Air Jordan sneakers worn by Michael Jordan in 1985 sold three times the projected price breaking the world record for sneakers, according to auction company Sotheby's (via The Guardian).
Ten people from all over the world asked to buy Nike Air Jordan 1 sneakers, which were expected to sell for $ 100,000 to $ 150,000, but sold for $ 560,000. Previously, the record was held by Nike "Moon Shoe" sneakers, which sold for $ 437,500.
