Prof. Asc. Dr. Tritan Kalo, a doctor of infectious diseases, based on the opinion that coronavirus may have circulated in Albania since the beginning of January, said on Facebook that there is no evidence. He went on to publish a series of photographs showing GGO images of the lungs (ground glass opacity, a term used in radiology, a branch of medicine that uses photographic technology to diagnose and treat disease, to see the increased inflammation in the lungs). .
Referring to the images, Kalo points out that the diseases that have circulated are broncho-alveolar carcinomas, diffuse alveolar hemorrhage, pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, cryptogenic pneumonia, lymphatic granulomatosis, various interstitial lung diseases (such as Rindinda-schromich pneumonia), methotrexate. Infectious diseases such as influenza A (H1N1), tuberculosis, microplasmosis, etc. have also been widespread.
"We have had thousands and thousands of cases of group A (H1N1) in Albania during mid-December 2019 and late February 2020. Has anyone made the comparative diagnosis between the aforementioned diseases and SARS-CoV-2? I need a simple answer, right? ? writes Kalo.
