As part of measures to prevent further spread of the coronavirus, Albania has temporarily closed the border with Kosovo.
According to the announcement of the National Center for Border Management (NCBM) starting at 6:00 pm on March 13, entry into Albania will be banned for all, respectively for cars from Kosovo.
"Only health or first aid vehicles, commercial vehicles (those carrying goods) and government vehicles will be allowed. This measure will last until March 15, 24:00, ?reads the official announcement.
Meanwhile, the movement of personal vehicles and public transport in Tirana, Durres, Shkodra, Lezha, Elbasan, Lushnje, Fier and Vlora has been banned. Ambulances, vehicles performing state service functions and transporting goods are exempt from the order.
