Scientists in Israel expect to announce the coming days of the completion of the development of a new coronavirus vaccine.
According to Israeli media, scientists at the Biological Research Institute, with the backing of the country's prime minister, have recently made much headway about the biological mechanism and qualities of the virus.
This includes better diagnostic capabilities, antibiotic production for those already affected, and the development of a potential vaccine.
The development process, however, requires a series of tests and experiments until it is concluded that the vaccine is safe enough to use and effective at the same time. This process can take several months.
About 3 weeks ago, samples of the virus were sent to Israel from Japan, Italy and other countries where coronavirus is widespread.
Experts believe the time it takes to complete a vaccine varies from a few months to a year and a half. Prior to confirmation of use, every vaccine created in Israel goes through very strict processes.
