Minister of Health and Social Welfare Ogerta Manastirliu in a recent communication to the public explained the new order regarding preventing the circulation of cars to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Monastirliu stated that this order excludes only health personnel and all persons with chronic illnesses who have planned treatment in hospitals.
?An exception to the rule set out in points 1 and 2 of this order is for auto ambulances, vehicles performing public service functions and those transporting goods. Authorization for the circulation of ambulances, vehicles carrying out state service functions and those transporting goods is carried out as directed by the State Police.
Also excludes all persons with chronic illnesses who have planned treatment in hospitals accompanied by only one person. "
This order provides for the prohibition and restriction of means of transport as follows:
1. Prohibition of the circulation of public and private means of transport, including private vehicles, within Tirana and Durres and from Tirana and Durres to other areas of the country and vice versa, starting at 06:00 on 13.03.2020 until 00:00 24:00 on 15.03.2020.
2. Prohibition of circulation of public and private transport vehicles, including private vehicles, in Shkodra, Lezha, Elbasan, Lushnje, Fier and Vlora starting from 06:00 on 13.03.2020 until 24:00 on 15.03 .2020.
The Minister also urged the cooperation of citizens and urged them to strictly implement the measures taken.
