Italy is in chaos due to the high number of people affected by the coronavirus, so a "stay at home" measure has been taken as one of the key ways to prevent other citizens from becoming infected. The streets of Italian cities - formerly jammed by the movement of residents and tourists - are empty. In the wake of strict controls, Italian citizens must be provided with a document justifying the reason for the move and those who do not comply with the provisions will face the law.
The document is in the form of a certificate, but it is completed on its own. He must also be fulfilled to walk. The same certification can be used for fixed trips (for example to work, to help a sick family, etc.). Otherwise, it must be filled whenever it moves.
Concerning the movements of the Italians:
- They can go to the supermarket but have to keep a distance of at least one meter from each other. Markets are closed.
- They can go to a pharmacy or hospital. They may not enter emergency rooms or the elderly, except for serious reasons.
- Can come out to help a family member who may be ill. If parents are separated, children can move from one parent to another, always justifying the move.
- Cannot make purchases in retail stores, except those that are open. The malls are closed, but accessible to supermarkets inside.
- They can go to the mechanic to fix the car, but only if the problem is urgent.
- Bars and restaurants are closed. Hospital bars are open, but provided distance and safety are guaranteed.
- They can order food at home, but anyone who delivers the order must keep a distance of at least one meter and guarantee hygienic sanitary rules for packaging and shipping.
- Can walk the dog, but provided that they stay close to home and always for a limited time.
- They can go to work, always if the work cannot be done from home.
- Newspapers and magazines can be purchased. The kiosks will remain open to guarantee the right to information.
- Banks and public offices are open, but distance from employees should be maintained.
- Meetings, conferences and public gatherings are prohibited.
- Prohibited from visiting friends and family for lunches and other celebrations, unless the reasons are serious. Dinners and holidays at home are prohibited.
- Aesthetic centers are closed.
- Theaters, cinemas, museums, schools and universities are closed.
- Churches and places of worship are open, but weddings and funerals are forbidden.
- Travel is prohibited for tourism.
