London's Supreme Court recently saw several messages from Johnny Depp in which he threatened to death his wife, Amber Heard.
In November 2013, Depp sent a message to actor Paul Bettany saying, "Let's burn Amber." On the same day, he sent another message saying, "Let's kill it before we burn it! I'm going to rape her burnt corpse to make sure she's dead. "
The messages were read during Depp's hearing against The Sun, after the latter published an article in 2018 alleging that Depp physically abused Heard. Former Depp lawyers shared with The Sun's lawyers an archive of 70,000 messages.
The messages were presented by The Sun to prove Depp was indeed abusive and violent, but he denies the allegations. Heard says Depp raped her in a private jet in May 2014. Depp's lawyer says the messages prove otherwise.
Also, Depp has sued Heard for defamation over an essay she published in The Washington Post.
