A "low" level of coronavirus has been found in a puppy of a Covid-19 coronavirus patient in Hong Kong. After tests in the mouth and nose cavity, the puppy was positive.
However, there is no room for panic, as it is unclear at this point whether the puppy is really infected, or simply has the virus in the mouth and nose cavity due to contact with the environment.
Currently, there is no evidence that pets can be infected by Covid-19.
The pooch-type puppy is being kept in an animal shelter, away from other animals, and more tests are expected.
