At the Task Force meeting at the Ministry of Health, it was said that 18 tests were carried out in Albania for suspected coronaviruses as they had travel histories to the affected areas but were not confirmed infected.
"Albania may not be immune to the COVID-19 coronavirus but we are all together to coordinate the work of the structures in order to make the best possible deal with any potential situation. It is time to increase our vigilance in every structure, ?said Minister Ogerta Manastirliu.
She added that since today, the distribution of 1.2 million extra masks has begun in all health facilities.
"In addition to the stock that health facilities have, the distribution of 1.2 million surgical masks to primary structures and hospitals in the country has begun today. Meanwhile hospitals need to take steps to further increase the stock of personal protective equipment, with the additional $ 1 million we have reallocated to hospital budgets, to have the necessary stock for any situation, with a focus on TUHC. "
