The shocking cases of two teachers in Fier shook public opinion not only about sexual abuse of students, but also because of the silence of other teachers. In a statement to the media, the Ministry of Education clarified that "all persons suspected of being involved in child abuse in the Fier school case have been dismissed or are being prosecuted".
In the statement, it was clarified that the Directorate-General for Pre-University Education has taken other immediate measures such as changing key staff members of the educational institution, providing psychosocial assistance, while the competent authorities continue investigations.
The measures are said to have not been made public in the media because those who feel aggrieved should not be exposed.
