According to public health institutions in America, if the spread of coronavirus continues at these rates, we will soon be dealing with a pandemic. Those infected outside China are increasing day by day, especially in South Korea, Iran and Italy.
South Korea has more than 1,100 infected and at least 12 dead. Iran has confirmed 95 cases and 15 dead. In Italy, at least 322 people were affected and 11 died. Algeria, Croatia, Spain and Switzerland reported the first infected.
The World Health Organization has stepped away from classifying the coronavirus as a pandemic, but at these rates, the criteria will be met.
To be classified as a pandemic, the virus must cause disease, spread from one person to another, and spread throughout the world. The first two criteria are met.
In Albania, 13 suspected cases have been tested, but according to the Ministry of Health, all analyzes have turned out to be negative. The ministry also calls on those who have traveled to the affected countries to call 12 if they have concerns or symptoms of coronavirus.
