Okay, so it's time to tell some little secrets: When was the last time you left the pillows? No sheets, pillows! If you've washed them a while ago, congratulations! Otherwise, read immediately all of the following.
Because the pillows stay in constant contact with the face and tend to contain allergens (foreign substances that cause allergies), they should be washed at least two to three times a year. If you live in a country with warm, humid climates, you should probably wash them more often.
Dead skin cells, dust spiders, facial and hair oil are some of the allergens that "live" on the pillows now. If that weren't enough, dust spiders feed on dead skin cells.
Replacing the sheets, though important, is not enough. It is therefore advisable to wash the pillows in the washing machine, where you should choose the washing process for delicate cold water clothes. If the washing machine also has the drying process, dry it on low heat.
