One of the members of the jury of the "Festival of Song", Rita Petro has reacted this morning about the points and the way of voting. Invited to "Wake Up", Petro, who stood by Mikaela Minga and the foreign jury, said with full conviction that the vote was technically clean and honest.
"Initially when we were called to be a part of the festival, I said why not, I felt very appreciated by the director of RTSH," Petro said, adding that at no point did the members communicate with each other during and after the festival.
"All the time we were at the concert the conversations were about the pleasure of spectacle, listening to the songs I forgot I was part of the jury, and the other members were enjoying the songs. It is not discussed what the preferences of each of us are, I say this competently. No account! The name of Elvana has never even been picked up by jury members, and when we were gathered in the room (to vote) neither Elvana's name nor that of any other singer was spoken, ?she continued.
Petro emphasized that after all the controversy and suspicions raised over the manner of voting, he feels offended and demands an institutional response.
?It was not us who told you to take us to the jury, we were called and accepted, we felt honored. It takes a public institutional reaction, of the organizers, everything is done right. We are sorry that the Albanian jury, the foreign jury, was separated from us. To make this division, that the Albanian jury is not lady, or they are corrupt ... I felt insulted. It is time for Eurovision to analyze the facts, investigate, and set up another jury. ?
