A source told Page Six that a representative for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian to remove photos from Instagram showing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the reality star's big 70th birthday party.

"They don't want to upset the royal family while they're trying to reconcile," a source said.

In October, another source told Page Six that Meghan Markle has been quietly supporting Harry's efforts to mend relations with his family, particularly his father, King Charles III.

“They need the [royal] family,” the source said, adding: “Meghan is aware of that.”

It has also been suggested that the photos may have been removed out of respect for Remembrance Day in Britain, which honours fallen soldiers, as Harry had placed a red flower on his lapel to mark the occasion.

However, a Page Six source earlier said that people inside the palace were not at all happy with the Sussexes' appearance on this glittering evening, calling it "too exaggerated."

"This clearly shows that Harry is very disconnected from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the excessive glitz and glamour goes against what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy," the source said.

Although the royal couple was certainly aware that they would be photographed outside the grand celebration, they may not have thought that photos from inside would be shared.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren't the only high-profile guests at the "007"-themed party, which was held at Jeff Bezos' $165 million Beverly Hills mansion.

The evening was also attended by names such as Beyoncé and Jay Z, Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Chris Rock, Mariah Carey, Adele, Rich Paul, Tyler Perry, Snoop Dogg, Paris Hilton, Kathy Hilton and Vin Diesel, while Bruno Mars' live performance turned the evening into a true Hollywood spectacle.

But for Meghan and Harry, this "starry" night seems to have brought more trouble than fun.
