What do young Albanians read? Very little Albanian literature. At least we can understand this from the list of most sought after books in 2019, which Anabel.al provided through a communication with Adrion Bookstore, the largest bookstore in the capital. The favorite of the young Albanians remains Ismail Kadare, more precisely the novel "Chronicle in stone". In the list of most sought-after works, there are no classical ones that are considered canon of world literature, but so-called "lemonade" books, which do not require a "trained" reader to understand. To avoid subjective ranking, books are listed alphabetically. At the end of the article you will also find a list of Albanian authors to read.
