Since the age of 7, Artes Ferruni, today an Albanian accountant , started helping the family by selling mountain tea. In an interview for "Invitation Five" in February this year, she confessed that none of her parents asked for it, but it was her desire to contribute some money to the family. In an interview at Invitation Five, she said it was this experience that helped her work on her own and make things perhaps different from her peers. At the age of 25, Artes is honored by The International Emmy Awards, which honors television and cinema productions outside the US.
The International Emmy Awards have a special category, called the JCS International Young Creatives Award, to evaluate and promote young talent in the field of cinema and television. At the heart of JSC IYCA are peace works. It was in this category, about a week ago, that Artes Ferruni was announced the winner for her short film, It Stars Within.
"It stars within" treats peace, but brings in another perspective. "Peace comes from within us."
