After a tiring day, we look forward to reuniting with the bed. A quick skin care routine makes us stretch within ten minutes of arriving home, but the next day we wake up with a new problem: acne. If we wash our face before we lie down, the pillow case must be to blame.
Sheaths can hold dirt and fat
Like everything else that transfers dirt and fat to the skin, sheaths can cause acne mechanica. Acne mechanica is a type of acne that occurs when materials or objects come into contact with the skin. When the sheath is not changed or washed regularly, dirt collected from the environment and hair is transferred to the skin. Thus, the pores become clogged and turned into acne.
The sheathing material does not matter much
They say satin sheaths cause acne, but not necessarily. If not changed regularly, it will retain more dirt, sweat and fat. If you have hair products before you lie down, the hair fat will touch the surface of the sheath and transfer to the skin. This happens even if the sheath is cotton, silk or satin.
One skin is not like the other
Not everyone gets acne pillow cases. But if you have acne-prone skin, whether from hormones, genetic causes or stress, unclean sheaths simply accentuate this tendency and exacerbate a delicate situation.
Here's what you can do:
1. Wash your face every night before you lie down.
2. Choose sheets made with natural fabrics, such as cotton, linen, hemp, silk, camel, etc.
3. Wash the sheets every two to three days.
