In an interview for the show "This Week" in "News 24", SMI chairman, Monica Kryemadhi, confessed that for five years was suffering from cervical cancer, the reason why he had to undergo a surgical intervention a few weeks later first.
"I feel very good thanks to doctors who were extraordinary. I want to call on all young Albanian girls to pay vaccines against cervical cancer; medicine is not to cure, but to prevent. I had a very difficult health process, I had been under surveillance for 5 years, but the doctors demanded immediate intervention and was difficult because there could be complications. I made abroad, 1/3 of the price in Albania and the biggest guarantee. I did not pay more than 6500 euros, when in Albania it cost 20 thousand euros. "
The cancer in question has originated in the cervix and is reported to be the second most common type of women. Some of its most characteristic symptoms are: irregular bleeding between menstrual cycles, vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, middle or lower abdominal pain, fatigue, weight loss and appetite, vaginal discomfort or secretion, pain during sexual activity, and the like .
~ Prevention ~
Cervical cancer can be prevented through control and vaccination. Currently, several types of tests are available: Pap test, visual control with acetic acid / VIA, high risk HPV testing, and colposcopy.
