
Today, the famous Albanian writer, Fatos Arapi, died from his life at the age of 89. For 10 years, the writer was ill and did not leave the apartment after a cerebral hemorrhage. The news was made known by the family members, where it is learned that the funeral ceremony will be held at the Sharra cemetery in Tirana.
With his escape, Fatos Arapi leaves us behind a diverse artistic creation, which delivers different genres and genres. The writer was born in 1929 in Vlore where he completed high school, while studying in Bulgaria at the Faculty of Mathematics and Economics. He also worked for many years as a journalist and lecturer at the Faculty of History-Philology of Tirana.

Thanks to his poetry, where we distinguish "Poetics" and "Poetry and Poetry" Arapi won national and international prizes and in 2008 was awarded with the "Golden Wreath" becoming the first Albanian poet who has won such a reward .

Apart from poetry, Fatos Arapi has also written some novels: "The Wild Geese" 1969, "The Cipa of Snow" 1985, "The Genius Headless" 1999 and many others. The writer has also made some literary criticism while the volume "Give Me A Name" was strictly prohibited by the dictatorship.
