I do not know what size I am. I have never been able to address the jewelery to measure it, or to ask for a writing like this to calculate for myself. So when I find cute rings on ebay, I do not buy any. Tragic.
The following method, compiled by Who What Wear is very simple. Requires only one piece of paper, one spline and the following chart. If you have a minute time and can do it anywhere.
Find a thin sheet of paper cut vertically and wrap around the thumb that interests you. Then, with the pencil, draw a line where the paper touches itself after the rotation.
Lay the cover letter flat and dip the distance from the beginning to the drawn line yourself. Make sure you save the value in millimeters.
The rest is simple. Just look up your value in the international ring-count conversion chart, which you find by clicking here . See the column entitled Inside Circumference for the closest value to yours. On the right side of the graph, find different ways of naming for different states. Use whatever comes along.
Here is a cute ring that you can buy now that you know the measure.
