Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested by the New York police while he was staying at a hotel. His arrest follows multiple charges and an ongoing investigation into trafficking, rape and violence.
A source told Page Six that: "The hip-hop icon cooperated with police." So far, the reasons for the arrest are still unclear and have not been made public. Combs is due to appear in federal court in Manhattan on Tuesday.
"We are disappointed with the decision to do what we believe is an unfair persecution of Mr. Combs", said his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo.

Sean "Diddy" Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and renowned philanthropist who has spent the past 30 years building an empire, adoring children and supporting community of people of color. He is an imperfect man, but he is not a criminal. Mr. Combs has cooperated with the investigation."
Agnifilo added that the decision should be revised until the prosecutors have all the facts. "These are the actions of an innocent man who has nothing to hide and is waiting to clear his name in court."
Combs, 54, faces multiple charges. Cassandra Ventura, his ex-girlfriend, has accused him of violence, rape, stalking and trafficking during their 10-year relationship.
