Trump threatens to send military to Portland to confront 'domestic terrorists'
US President Donald Trump said on Saturday he would send military troops to Portland, Oregon, stressing that he was ready to authorize "full force, if necessary," to confront what he called "domestic terrorism," as he expanded the controversial presence of federal forces in other American cities.
In a social media announcement, Trump said he had ordered the Department of Defense to "provide all necessary troops to protect Portland, which he said is like a war zone."
The decision, according to the president, was necessary to protect US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities, which he described as "besieged by attacks from Antifa and other domestic terrorists."
Russian attacks in Zaporizhzhia leave thousands of families without power
Russian airstrikes in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on Saturday left about 9,000 households without electricity, however by morning power crews managed to restore almost all supply, local authorities said.
According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the drone attacks damaged one store, ten retail outlets, two residential buildings, and several other non-residential facilities.

Musk and Prince Andrew named in new Epstein files
Billionaire Elon Musk and Prince Andrew of the British Royal Family have been named in new documents released by Democrats in the US Congress, related to the disgraced and late financier, Jeffrey Epstein.
In a collection of more than 8,500 documents released by Democratic members of the US House of Representatives oversight committee, numerous names of well-known figures who had contact with Epstein, a convicted sex offender, were revealed.
The files include phone records, flight logs, financial transactions, daily notes and travel logs. According to them, Elon Musk, the head of Tesla, SpaceX and Platform X, was invited to Epstein's infamous island in December 2014.
