Since the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary on Netflix, people are learning almost every detail about their personal lives. After everything you've heard so far, it was the turn of the proposal and the moment was so charming!
After months of dating in complete secrecy, Meghan and Harry confirmed their romance in November 2016. They got engaged in November 2017, but didn't share details until the end of the year and couldn't be happier about the choice they made. In the second episode, Harry says he actually wishes he had gotten engaged to Meghan earlier.
"I wanted to propose earlier, but there were some protocols that had to be followed. I asked permission from my grandmother because I couldn't take that step outside of Britain."
Where did the long-awaited moment happen?!
In the garden outside Nottingham Cottage, which at the time was also the house where Harry lived. Despite his efforts, the proposal did not turn out to be a surprise fix.
"I opened a bottle of champagne while she was in the kitchen working on the chicken. She saw me and said: "You don't drink champagne, what's the occasion for this bottle?!" I stopped and told her I don't know. That's useless . In the North Garden, I tried to distance myself a little from the staff and took 15 electric candles. I got down on my knees, of course I did, and I asked." - said the prince, while Meghan added that she immediately said "YES" all joy and both of them couldn't believe what was coming next.
If you ever wondered how a prince proposes, Harry is the classic example!
