If you want your house to smell good without candles or air fresheners, this plant is the simplest solution.
Filling your home with fresh plants or flowers is always a good idea. But if you choose the right kind, they can do more than that, they can scent the entire environment without the need for candles or other artificial products.
The secret is to choose plants with fragrant flowers that spread their fragrance throughout the space, especially in the areas you spend the most time in. One of the best choices for this is the tea rose begonia.
This plant, a hybrid variant of the Begoniaceae family , is also known as the straight-stemmed begonia, due to its shape that slightly resembles bamboo. But what makes it truly special are its pale pink flowers, which emit a light, sweet scent into the air.
Unlike most begonias, which have no scent, this type of begonia stands out precisely for this characteristic.

How to care
This flower grows best in partial light, not in direct sunlight, but not in full shade either. A spot with a little natural light is ideal for it to thrive without much care.
Another important element is humidity. Begonias require humid air, so a level of around 50% in the environment is suitable to keep them healthy and promote flowering.
Being a type with straight stems, it also needs a little pruning from time to time, to grow denser and with more flowers. It is usually recommended to trim the tops when the plant reaches about 15 cm in height.
Most importantly, light is key. If a plant isn't blooming, most of the time the problem is location-related. It may need more or less light, so just move it around until you find the right spot.
