Jennifer Lopez has made a rare confession about her private life, recalling her divorce from singer Marc Anthony in 2014, which she described as one of the most difficult periods of her life.

During one of the last concerts of her Las Vegas residency, the artist spoke openly with the audience about that period. In a video posted by a fan on social media, she first joked:
"After my third divorce, that's when I started to get really good at this." But then she got serious, adding: "It was actually a really difficult time."

The singer indicated that at that time she was close to giving up everything.
“I was really ready to give up. I was a single mother with 3-year-old twins,” she said.
Lopez and Anthony have two children together, twins Emme and Max, who are now 18 years old.

The artist revealed that during that difficult period, she turned to her mentor, motivational author Louise Hay, for advice. According to Lopez, she asked her if she were a ballerina what she should do when she made a mistake during a dance.
“I told her to keep trying until I got the steps right,” Lopez recalled. “And she said, ‘That’s it, Jennifer. Just keep dancing.’”
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were married from 2004 until 2014, when their divorce was finalized.

Before Anthony, the singer was married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and to Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. She then married actor Ben Affleck in 2022, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2025.
