Well-known Albanian actress, Edi Luarasi has passed away at the age of 81 as a result of a serious illness. It was her son who through a post on Facebook announced the serious news. The actress left behind a rich legacy in the theater, a place she embraced at a very young age.
Luarasi graduated in acting in 1963, to be later appointed actress at the People's Theater. Her first role was Vera in the drama "House on the Boulevard" in 1963 directed by Kujtim Spahivogli.
During the next 10 years, there are a number of accomplished roles, where we single out Lena in "Doctor Alex", Kordelja in "King Lir", Cuca in "Cuca of the mountains", Kristina in "The second face", etc. Edi Luarasi was expelled from the National Theater on January 22, 1974 for political reasons and then returned to the stage in March 1991, where he played the role of the old lady in the drama: "The visit of the old lady".
