As the term " bridezilla ," used to describe a bride who is too demanding or "tyrannical" during wedding planning, becomes more and more popular online, more and more strange stories are coming to light. One of them is the one you're about to read about below.
The story was shared by the sister of a bride in a Reddit discussion. She said she was initially overjoyed by the news of her sister's wedding and even considered the groom-to-be "a very nice man."

However, the situation changed when the bride began to impose some strict rules on her bridesmaids.

According to her, some of the conditions were understandable, such as requiring bridesmaids to wear long sleeves if they had tattoos. But one rule seemed very strange to her, as the bride required all women in the ceremony to have hair at least three centimeters shorter than hers.
The problem was that the bride's hair reached her waist, while her sister had it even longer and considered it a very important part of her identity.
She said that she had proposed to her sister to wear her hair up during the ceremony, but this was not accepted. The bride did not want anyone else to have their hair down while hers would be up. As an alternative, the sister suggested that she only attend the banquet and not the swearing-in ceremony, but this angered the bride even more.

Even the future groom intervened in the debate, trying to convince her to cut her hair. But she refused, saying that it was not fair, since it had taken her years to grow it out and all the "sacrifice" could not be thrown away for just one night. In the end, she decided to no longer be a bridesmaid and attend the wedding simply as a guest.
Traditionally, the bride may set some rules for the appearance of her bridesmaids, but often the line between what is reasonable and what is excessive becomes blurred. After all, a wedding should be a moment to share with the most important people in our lives.
As one event organizer says:
"The purpose of a wedding is to celebrate with the people you love most. If the main criteria for choosing bridesmaids is just appearance, maybe it's time to stop and think about it as a decision."
