What do waves, deadly injections, and a handful of white worms have in common? It all happened to people in their dreams during coronavirus pandemics.
People are reporting more and more strange and vivid dreams during quarantine and isolation. Think and remember your dreams of the last few weeks. Have they been more intense or disturbing than before?
If so, the credit goes to routine changes. When real life is intense and disturbing, so are dreams.
When we witness something normal or normal, the brain does not need to process or chew it. In the case of a pandemic, which is extraordinary, the brain needs more time and power to understand what is happening. This process takes place during sleep and manifests itself in the form of dreams.
Another explanation of multiple dreams is the prolonged time we spend sleeping. Dreams are seen during the REM phase of sleep and the longer we sleep, the longer the REM phase.
Strange as your dreams may be, don't worry. They are an important part of mental processes and symbolize healing.
