Kate Middleton is not very happy that this is her new neighbor

If you're not familiar with him, Prince Andrew is the third son of Queen Elizabeth II and the younger brother of King Charles. For years, he was one of the key figures in the British royal family, but everything changed when he was involved in a series of serious scandals that shook the reputation of the monarchy.

Andrew was linked to Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire financier and convicted sex offender, and was accused of sexual abuse by Virginia Giuffre, who said she was trafficked by Epstein when she was still a teenager.

Although Andrew has denied the allegations, he settled the legal case with a multimillion-dollar out-of-court settlement in 2022. Due to public and media pressure, he was stripped of his military titles and royal duties and has since lived in seclusion from public life at a luxurious residence in Windsor, Royal Lodge.

And that is exactly the problem.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are not at all happy about the fact that Prince Andrew will be their next-door neighbor in Windsor. And while life in the palace may seem glamorous, some neighbors are just not wanted by anyone, not even a princess.

According to royal expert Phil Dampier, William is determined to "put a stop to the affair" with his uncle before he himself becomes king. Currently, Andrew continues to live at Royal Lodge, where numerous protesters have been seen standing outside with megaphones, demanding his removal from the residence.

And Kate? Although she usually stays out of the drama and always supports her husband's decisions, sources say the royal couple doesn't want their name to be linked further to family scandals, especially when it comes to neighbors you can't avoid.

"The children will go to school, the family lives in Windsor, it is impossible not to clash with Andrew at some point," Dampier says. "And that is exactly what they are trying to avoid. They want to resolve this situation as quickly as possible, in the time of King Charles, so that it does not remain a burden in the time of William."

If Prince Andrew leaves, which is not so easy because of the very strong contract he has with the Royal Lodge, there is a possibility that he will move abroad. He is said to have a luxury villa in Abu Dhabi, a gift from many years ago. But, as Dampier points out with a striking expression: “He has never been able to read a situation in the air.”
