The broadcast of "Big Brother Fan Club" began today under the moderation of Kiara Tito and from the beginning of the program, the public's attention was immediately focused on the return of Arjan Konomi to Top Channel.
Kiara asked Arjan Konomi about a statement made a few weeks ago in an interview with Arbana Osmani, where he claimed that he had been penalized in the past due to a status on social networks.
Konomi acknowledged this fact, but explained that he has never had any personal or professional conflicts with Top Channel:
"This is my home. Not to confuse the number of years, but I have been here at Top Channel for over 20 years and I am very happy to be part of this format because it is the format where I started, it is the Big Brother format where I was introduced to the public and it was my beginning on television."
Regarding the aforementioned penalty, Konomi emphasized that he has always been open to communication and that the situation has not created any division:
"Regarding the question you asked me, if I have a dissatisfaction, I am very open to them. I have never had any conflict, any problem with Top Channel."
He also added that relations have remained cordial even after his departure from television.
What did Arjani say on "Mirembrëma Yje"? Konomi confessed that Top Channel executives had called him and asked him to delete the post criticizing the "Big Brother VIP Albania" opinionators (Arbër Hajdari and Zhaklin Lekatari), a request he had categorically rejected. This refusal, according to him, led to his temporary suspension from the television.
What did Arjan Konomi write in the post in question? He commented on the behavior of the "Big Brother VIP Albania" commentators, through a video posted on his Instagram account, with the caption: "Mediocrity kills more than ignorance." In the video, Arjani did not spare any criticism and said:
"Hello dear friends! I watched the "Big Brother" show on YouTube today and, driven by the comments I saw on social networks, I couldn't resist the temptation to make a comment, despite the fact that I have always neglected and not wanted to be part of the comments, regarding various television formats, shows, or anything else. But this time I could not remain silent and not say that I suffered a disappointment and a bad taste, very bitter, from the behavior of the commentators during the show."
He continued:
"It doesn't matter whether I agree with their opinion or not. It's their opinion and it should be respected, but the approach they take as opinionators is not at the level of the format, not at the level required by the armchair they are sitting in. When I listened to them, it seemed to me like I was watching ordinary, mediocre people discussing in a suburban bar. They give and take, they say and do, they turn it around, they debate, in the most vulgar way in an evening show. Imagine how bitter that leaves you," he said.
Even before, Arjani had made a post, in which it was claimed that it was ironic about Zhaklina and Arbri. The caption read:
"15 years ago!!! The opinionist was chosen based on professional experience in the media and not by chance! Where do the opinionists we see on television screens today come from? What have they done in the media? What is their CV? What previous experience do they have? How can programs with record audiences be left in the hands of anonymous pseudo-opinionists? The great public impact requires great professionalism...how unfortunate that the opposite happens!!!"
