Zendaya appears to have confirmed her secret marriage to Tom Holland during a special moment at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood ceremony.

During the event, host Marsai Martin joked about asking Zendaya to make a small gesture if she had secretly gotten married, referring to rumors about her marriage.

Zendaya reacted by showing off her gold wedding ring, which the audience saw and applauded, confirming rumors of her marriage to Holland. She laughed happily as Marsai continued to joke, saying he would give Zendaya towels with their initials on them as a wedding gift.

Zendaya also accepted congratulations from those present at the event, further confirming the news about her marriage. 

According to reports, Zendaya and Holland got engaged during the holidays of 2024. Her stylist, Law Roach, stated that they had already secretly married during a red carpet interview at the 2026 SAG Actor Awards. He told Access Hollywood:

"The marriage has already happened. You've lost it."

Rumors of a secret wedding have been circulating since last month, when Zendaya was spotted wearing a gold ring on her left finger, instead of her 5-carat diamond. 

Since then, Zendaya has continued to show off the ring publicly, including at the Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week and photoshoots with her "The Drama" co-star Robert Pattinson.

Recently, their "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" co-star, Liza Colón-Zayas, has added to the doubts about the couple's marriage by reposting a post on Instagram that showed that Zendaya and Holland are married, adding a heart emoji and tagging them both.
