Lady Diana's style continues to make a comeback, and this time, it's her granddaughters who are bringing back one of her most iconic outfits.
A few days ago, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, Diana's twin granddaughters, appeared at the Cheltenham Festival in outfits that did not go unnoticed, and not without reason.

The sisters chose tweed suits , perhaps as an homage to one of Diana's most famous looks (Tweed - a woolen fabric known for its slightly rough texture and mixed colors. Originating in Scotland, it has been traditionally used for weather-resistant clothing, such as jackets, coats and hats, and is characterized by classic motifs such as checks and stripes).
In 1981, during her honeymoon with Charles, Diana was photographed at Balmoral Castle wearing a tweed skirt suit, a look that immediately became a trend.

Designed by Bill Pashley, this outfit was inspired by traditional British aesthetics and was specifically thought out for her stay in Scotland.
It is even said that Diana had two versions of the costume: one of them was a little looser, to be more comfortable during outdoor walks.
Amelia and Eliza brought back this aesthetic in a more contemporary version. Eliza chose a brown suit, with trousers and a vest, combined with a matching coat. Amelia wore a light green set, combined with a blue shirt and tie.

“It comes naturally to us [to dress alike] because we have very similar tastes,” Amelia said in an interview. “We often end up choosing the same clothes.”
