Gary Goldsmith, the Princess of Wales' uncle, has slammed conspiracy theories and claimed there is a reason for her absence from public life, following surgery in January.
"I think people should leave it alone because there's a reason why the royals aren't talking about it and giving it less space," he told The Mirror. "I think it's very wrong and if it happened to anyone else they wouldn't be so reserved, but Kate is Kate and she does a fantastic job in every way so there's so much interest in her," he continued.
"She's an important person to the royal family, so I'm just asking people to leave her alone and give her some space. The royal family seems to be changing the dynamic of their approach to this event, to not be in center of attention. They have many duties of an official and royal nature, but family comes first," adds Kate's uncle.

The Princess of Wales underwent surgery in January this year and left hospital two weeks later. She has not been seen in public for many weeks, and therefore conspiracy theories are pouring in from all sides. Only yesterday she appeared in the car with her mother, but she is still not participating in public events.
The royal palace was forced to issue an official announcement, saying that any engagement of the princess would be postponed until her full health recovery, while she would not appear in public on work matters until the month of Easter. "We hope that the public will understand her desire to keep this situation within the limits of normality, for the sake of her children as well. It is Kate's wish that personal information about her health problem remain private. "Kensington Palace will provide updates from time to time regarding the Princess' condition," the statement read.
In the weeks following, there were many conspiracy theories surrounding Kate's disappearance and condition. But after speculation the royal palace was forced to issue another official announcement saying: "We were clear from the start that the Princess of Wales would not be in public until Easter and it would be Kensington Palace itself that would to give official updates,".
